YouTube TV adds Multiview on iOS devices, Android soon to get it
Google is actively working on its TV-streaming branch of YouTube called YouTube TV. The tech giant introduced a number of new features over the past year and is now bringing the Multiview feature to mobile devices.
Multiview isn’t entirely new to the platform; it has been available on smart TVs for a while. Today, a staff member at the company confirmed the rollout of Multiview to iOS and iPadOS devices. Here’s how it looks on iOS.
This browser does not support the video element.
In the same Reddit thread, the employee confirmed that Multiview is coming to Android “in the coming months”.
Notably, the feature currently works only with select sports channels, but support for a wider range of channels is likely in the pipeline.
