Samsung Galaxy M55 images and specs leak revealing it won’t be just a rebranded A55

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is approaching its release, and today its specifications have been leaked along with the official-looking renders displayed below.

Rumored to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED+ screen with slim bezels and a peak refresh rate of 1,000 nits, the M55 will be offered in light green and black color options, although Samsung may opt for more creative names for these choices.

Equipped with a triple-camera setup on the back, the system includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro shooter. Additionally, a 50 MP selfie camera is located on the front.

The phone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45W fast wired charging. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC with options for up to 12GB of RAM and storage capacities of 128GB or 256GB, expandable up to 1TB with microSD cards. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be of the under-display variety.

The M55 is speculated to debut with Android 14 and One UI 6 on top, promising five major Android updates and five years of security updates from Samsung. The device also features dual-SIM capability, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC support.

Compared to the recently announced Galaxy A55, the M55 offers a slightly larger display, a different chipset (opting for Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 over Samsung’s Exynos 1480), lower-resolution ultrawide and macro cameras, a higher-resolution front camera, and faster charging capabilities. Overall, it presents an interesting variation of the A55. Now, we await an official announcement from Samsung.
