iOS 18 is getting official on June 10, as Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference starts

This year, Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held from June 10 to June 14. During the first day of WWDC, Apple traditionally announces new versions of its operating systems. The anticipated unveilings for this year include iOS 18, iPadOS 18, as well as new iterations of watchOS, tvOS, macOS, and visionOS.

While the WWDC event will be primarily held online, developers and students will have the opportunity to participate in person at a special event at Apple Park on June 10. This special event will include watching the keynote, meeting with Apple team members, and engaging in various activities. Participation will be limited, and those interested can find details about how to attend here.

For those unable to attend in person, the online event will be open to all for free. Apple will provide developers with access to Apple experts, new tools, frameworks, and features throughout the event to help them enhance their apps and games, as stated in the official press release.

Video sessions will be available, along with opportunities to interact with Apple designers and engineers, as well as connect with the global developer community.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed her enthusiasm, saying:

We’re thrilled to engage with developers from all over the world for an incredible week of technology and community at WWDC24. WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them create something even more exceptional.
