Samsung Galaxy A35 in for review
Say hello to the Samsung Galaxy A35, the more affordable member of Samsung’s newly announced A series duo.
It’s centered around a 6.6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. This size may be just right for the majority of buyers.
The Galaxy A35 starts at €380 for a 6/128GB model and goes up to €450 for the 8/256GB option. During the launch, you can avail the storage upgrade for free, and Samsung is offering a €70 trade-in bonus and a free Galaxy Fit3 with the purchase in many markets. However, the retail package is quite minimal – it only includes a SIM tool and a USB-C cable.
The Galaxy A35 follows Samsung’s Key Island design where the volume and power buttons are placed on a raised island together. The phone is well-built and feels high-quality, but the frame is made of plastic unlike the A55 which has a metal frame.
Another difference is in the glass material used – the Galaxy A55 boasts Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides while the Galaxy A35 has Victus+ only on the front. The material used for the rear panel is not specified.
Additionally, the Galaxy A35 uses the older Exynos 1380 chipset. Despite this, it is still a 5nm chip and the performance of the A35 is satisfactory. The phone feels speedy and smooth, even with just 6GB of RAM.
