YouTube Premium now available in 10 more countries
YouTube users in 10 countries woke up to discover an exciting update – they can now subscribe to YouTube Premium. This premium service eliminates ads (without the need to combat Google’s anti-ad blocker tactics), while also enabling the ability to download videos for offline viewing and listen to videos with the player running in the background.
Here are the 10 new countries that have been included in the list of Premium membership locations (the complete list can be found here):
- Azerbaijan
- Jamaica
- Kazakhstan
- Libya
- Morocco
- Réunion
- Tanzania
- Uganda
- Yemen
- Zimbabwe
While YouTube Premium is a paid service, users may also have access to it through the Google One bundle. This option is available in 8 of the listed countries above (full list here), excluding Libya and Réunion. Additionally, students can explore the YouTube Student Membership offer to enjoy Premium at a discounted rate – all 10 countries are eligible for this offer. To qualify, students must be verified by SheerID, with further details available here.
It’s important to note that YouTube Premium also grants ad-free access to YouTube Music, a music streaming service featuring an expansive library of 100 million songs (users can also download tracks for offline listening).
